In Vietnamese Home Cooking chef Charles Phan introduces traditional Vietnamese cooking to home cooks by focusing on fundamental techniques and ingredients.
The book is broken down into cooking technique based chapters, featuring recipes, instructions, tips, stories, and guidance in an accessible format. With many home cooks being intimidated by Vietnamese cooking, it was important that the design is accessible, structured, and informative.
Working with photographer Eric Wolfinger, we looked to cover Vietnamese cooking from many angles, including processes, ingredients, contextual travel images, and finished dishes. In this way the book acts as both a deep resource and visual guide.
