North Road stands as an eminent independent global content studio, renowned for its creation of some of the most acclaimed films, television series, and documentaries worldwide. Spearheaded by industry luminary Peter Chernin, the studio houses an array of top-tier production entities, including Chernin Entertainment, Words + Pictures, and Left/Right.
Working closely with Peter Chernin and his team, we crafted a simple yet distinctive brand identity for the company's debut.
Our approach entailed the development of a bold wordmark and customized typeface, serving as the focal point of the brand identity. Additionally, we created a dynamic motion toolkit and digital experience, designed to narrate the compelling stories behind their diverse productions.
North Road is as much about bringing together the right people as it is about the creative content it helps produce. Guided by this principle, we delved into the world of typographic compositions prevalent in film and television credits. Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic textures and arrangements of titles and names, we developed a dynamic typographic approach for headlines and quotes. This approach enables North Road to inject movement into layouts, evoke a mood when typesetting a movie's name, and bring energy to memorable quotes from beloved characters.
